Christy Hawkins leads the marketing consulting services side for JumpStart Consulting helping clients assess market opportunity, develop strategy and high-performance execution, and optimizing their performance based on a disciplined approach to analytics and testing.
She has more than 20 years of B2B and B2C marketing experience at a wide variety of startup and traditional marketing environments. Throughout her career she has consistently been able to accelerate brands, drive revenues, and increase valuations due to her strong competence in marketing strategy/positioning, and customer acquisition/lead generation, conversion and retention tactics.
She is passionate about marketing and customer experience, applies her large company process and analytics discipline to what works for startups, often accelerating their traction and brand awareness in record time.
Christy has had roles that included full-time marketing and executive team leader as well as marketing consulting advisor to senior management at nearly 30 early stage companies within financial services, healthcare, trucking, education, and retail industries.
Her work for small business lending companies include brands such as: SoMoLend, DealStruck and FundWell, and healthcare companies have included: Sectra, Agfa Healthcare, and Merge Healthcare.
Christy was a brand manager for Pearle Vision, and marketing manager for Target Optical and BJ’s Wholesale Club Optical. She worked for one of Cleveland’s first dot-com’s, PlanSoft Corporation, and got her start at Liggett-Stashower Advertising Agency.
Christy has a track record of creating award-winning work, with several healthcare marketing awards in PR, websites, direct mail and advertising. In addition, she has been cited for providing “Best Practice Marketing” by The Advisory Board, and she has presented best practice marketing techniques at the Washington G2 Conference, and has written many articles for industry publications.
She is a mentor/coach for Cincinnati startups through Cintrifuse and Bad Girl Ventures.
She earned a Masters of Business Administration from Fordham University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism.
